Q. What is the installation process? Do I have to do anything?  Top»
A. We manage all elements of the installation process. The ChannelCast installation has two components: 1) Satellite receiver installation and 2) Server installation. These are two different installations that may be handled by two different installers and may occur on different dates. We'll schedule the installation at your convenience and simply ask that someone is available at the facility during the couple of hours the installations will likely take.

Q. What are the requirements to install ChannelCast?  Top»
A. You need a dedicated phone line, and a place to put the server where there is power and where it can be connected to your existing coax connection to your entertainment screens.

Q. What if I already have ClubCom or InSite? Can I add on ChannelCast?  Top»
A. Yes. All of these products can run off the same server and will operate seamlessly together.

Q. What if I don't want eight channels; can I buy four, or some other quantity?  Top»
A. Sorry, the product is only available in eight channels at this time.

Q. Do I have to have Personal Viewing Screens to have ChannelCast?  Top»
A. Yes, you need to have Personal Viewing Screens to utilize ChannelCast.

Q. What if I have 900 MHz Cardio Theater, will it still work?  Top»
A. This option is not currently supported. ChannelCast is designed for the individual user to enjoy on his or her own Personal Viewing Screen. If you're interested in ambient entertainment, consider the ClubCom network product, which is specifically designed for the ambient environment.

Q. Can I use one of the channels on ChannelCast as my ambient entertainment selection and if so, are the ASCAP and BMI covered?  Top»
A. This option is not currently supported. ChannelCast is designed for the individual user to enjoy on his or her own Personal Viewing Screen. If you're interested in ambient entertainment, consider the ClubCom network product, which is specifically designed for the ambient environment. And no, purchasing ChannelCast does not cover ASCAP and BMI payments.

Q. How is service handled? Do you have service techs located in my area?  Top»
A. Once installed ChannelCast should not require any service. In the event service is needed, we have a network of service personnel who can be dispatched to your location.

Q. What features does ClubCom have that ChannelCast doesn't?  Top»
A. ChannelCast provides more personalized entertainment content designed to be delivered to the Personal Viewing Screen, whereas ClubCom provides more general music video entertainment content, internal communications capabilities via video text messaging, and promotional and advertising opportunities.

Q. Do you offer leasing on the server?  Top»
A. Yes, you can lease the hardware.

Q. What is the lead time for the product?  Top»
A. Once we receive a signed service agreement we will install the network within 60 days.

Q. If I have ChannelCast do I still need to have cable or Dish or Direct TV?  Top»
A. Yes, if you still want to provide your members with traditional channels such as ABC, ESPN, NBC etc.

Q. Can I change the 8 channels/genres of music at any time? If so, how?  Top»
A. Yes. You would simply contact ClubCom customer service at 888-588-7717 or via email at customerservice@clubcom.com and tell us which genres you would like to change and what you'd like to change them to.

Q. How often are the videos updated?  Top»
A. The videos are updated once per month.

Q. How many videos are in each genre and how often are they repeated? Am I going to see the same videos multiple times in a hour? The same time everyday?  Top»
A. The number of videos will vary by channel. For instance, the Latin channel may have from 75-100 videos, whereas the Classic Rock channel will have hundreds of videos. Videos are played at random, so the experience will be different every time you tune in to the channel.

Q. Can I tie it in to my overhead sound system without having it playing on TVs? Can I play different genres in different areas/zones?  Top»

Q. How does it work with TVs already playing cable TV channels?  Top»
A. ChannelCast channels are just additional channels that can be added to the list of cable or satellite channels being delivered through your existing service - they just come from the server rather than through the cable or satellite connection.

Q. Does ChannelCast offer any additional features other than just music videos? e.g. the ability to have text message scrolling on screen?  Top»
A. Not at the current time. The service is designed to deliver genre music channels to personalize the entertainment experience.
